This is a remote working role but being located in the UK is preferred. Attending workshops in Scotland and London will be required from time to time.


Part Time. 24 hours a week / 3 days minimum guaranteed with daily contact Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours and extra days available during busier periods. Opportunity to transition to a FT role in summer 2021.

Role Description:

Tens is seeking a Digital Operations Assistant who is tech-savvy, passionate about customer experience and eager to grow their experience in digital marketing disciplines. They’ll play a key part in: customer service; e-commerce management; developing Tens social channels; managing the brand’s online presence and assisting in efforts to grow web sales.

This person will operate remotely alongside a small group of experts in their respective areas in global business, marketing and product development - working closely with and reporting to the Brand Director. A great opportunity for someone who aspires to be in a more senior management role in the future and a chance to make their mark during an exciting new era for the company.

General Responsibilities:

Please note: most responsibilities described below will be carried out collaboratively with the Brand Director and sometimes periodically.

Customer Service

  • Delivering outstanding customer service by responding to questions online about the product and brand. Building a relationship with that customer by listening carefully to their needs and supporting them accordingly using a suitable tone of voice that fits the Tens brand.
  • An ‘above and beyond’ approach to troubleshooting any issues that may occur with the customer’s delivery or product. Working closely with fulfilment centre and stock management team regarding any customer delivery issues and coordinating the movement of stock and overall inventory.
  • Delivering monthly customer service reports and sales reports to management. Analysing and delivering the information collected in the reports to the product development team regarding customer feedback and any quality issues identified.
  • Utilising website platform Shopify, customer service platform Groove, Trustpilot and other platforms to maintain customer enquiries. (Training can be provided)

Social & Email Marketing

  • Managing all social channels and assisting in devising creative strategies that deliver consistent and engaging organic content across the board. Instagram performance will be a priority.
  • Writing compelling copy for social & digital marketing activity that draws visitors to our products and drives sales whilst building community.
  • Producing creative for channels by coordinating graphic designers & content creators.
  • Coordinating email marketing activities including newsletters. Assisting in devising strategies around email sequencing and efforts to improve open rate and conversions.

Digital Marketing Management

  • Assisting PPC manager in devising processes and implementing strategic thinking to generate profitable ad campaigns on social and Google.

E-Commerce Management

  • Daily monitoring and general management of Tens website on Shopify. For example: carrying out content updates, uploading new products etc.

Marketing Assistance

  • Assist in completing admin tasks associated with marketing activities happening within the company.
  • Contribute to overall brand development plans with company founders.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 years experience in customer service and exposure to digital marketing disciplines and e-commerce.
  • Someone who is tech-savvy and willing to learn new tools. Ideally experience in using: Shopify, all social channels; Facebook Business; Google Analytics; Buffer (or similar tool); Dropbox; Slack and Google Suite.
  • Must be passionate about online brand management and have a genuine drive for achieving results in social media metrics and digital advertising.
  • Fastidious attention to detail when analysing data and a strong communicator.
  • Must be familiar with and enjoy working remotely.
  • Advantageous: a keen interest in photography, creative arts & action sports is desirable. Awareness of lifestyle brands operating in these circles is also helpful.

Application Details:

Interviews will take place soon after. The role is scheduled to begin in November 2020 but may be flexible.
